A simple llms.txt you can copy

What llms.txt is, what it is not, and a short file you can adapt for a small site.

llms.txt is a plain text file at the root of your site, like robots.txt. It gives AI tools a short map of your best pages. Not every tool reads it. The ones that do get a cleaner start.

It does not force a chat tool to mention you. It does not replace a good title, real text, or a robots.txt file that allows crawlers.

A file you can adapt

Put this at https://your-site.com/llms.txt and change the words.

# Your site name

> One sentence on what the site is and who it helps.

## Pages

- [Home](https://your-site.com/): What you offer
- [About](https://your-site.com/about): Who you are
- [Contact](https://your-site.com/contact): How to reach you

Keep the list short. Link to pages that answer real questions. Write the note after each link in plain words.

What to check next

Make sure robots.txt does not block GPTBot, ClaudeBot, or Google-Extended if you want those crawlers to visit. Put the important words in HTML, not only in pictures. Give the page a title and a meta description.

ReachSeen looks for /llms.txt as one part of the findability score. A missing file is a small issue, not a crisis. A blocked crawler matters more.
